To be able to apply for a private office at A Grid, the following conditions need to be met:

• Valid Finnish Business ID
• Primarily registered as VAT liable for business
• Startup or growth company or organizations working closely with the beforementioned
• Credit rating supports leasing
• Lease agreement's obligations are met

Note: No need for previous Aalto connection

We accommodate more than 150 startups in A Grid and the leasing situation is continuously taking shape! Let us know your space needs and we will offer you the best vacant options.

Our lease agreements for private offices start at the beginning of each month, and the lease agreement should be made approximately 2 weeks prior. Thus, be quick and fill out the application in good time.

For basic private offices, the lease period is fixed one year at a time. However, the leased rooms can be changed during the lease period, depending on the general leasing situation. Discussions about extension leases will be started well in advance.

Unfortunately, A Grid does not provide furniture to the private offices.

You can already send us your application with the information you have. However, before we can make an agreement you should have an established company with a Finnish Business ID. 

As we take tenants by application, also subtenants need to be approved by A Grid.

Small modifications (wall painting, indoor window taping, curtains etc.) are ok when approved by A Grid in advance. However, be prepared to cover the costs and restore the premises when eventually moving out.

As part of our risk management, the rent deposit is worth 1 or 3 months' rents + VAT, depending on the leased square meters.

Anyone with a Finnish business ID, ranging from solo founders to established brands, is welcome to apply for a Campus Membership.

Coworking agreements start at the beginning and middle of each month, and the agreement should be made at least 1 week prior. 

Coworking agreements are valid until further notice with 1 month's notice period. Do not hesitate to fill out the agreement request.

There are bike racks at A Grid's entrances where you can lock your bike. For sheltered parking, we recommend car park Otaparkki's (Sähkömiehentie 3) bike parking on the other side of the road from A Grid.

Parking in Otaniemi campus is arranged via EasyPark and ParkMan mobile applications. With the apps, paying short time parking is effortless, and you can also purchase a monthly parking permit. Electric cars can be charged at designated charging points on campus according to a separate pricing list.

The closest parking lots to A Grid are located on the Northern side of the building and between Otakaari 5 and Otakaari 7. The multi-storey car park Otaparkki (Sähkömiehentie 3) is located on the other side of the road from A Grid. Closest electric car charging points are located on the parking lots close to both ends of the A Grid building.

If you exceed your monthly meeting room quota, you can easily purchase more hours via Aalto Space mobile application or purchase an extra meeting room package.

While we do not have proper lab premises in A Grid, there might be vacant lab premises in our other buildings. Please do not hesitate to contact Aalto University Campus & Real Estate.
